Deer club thread 11/12 version

Postby Dutch Dog » Tue Aug 05, 2008 5:36 pm

Seems like this time of year folks start trying to find a club to get into, or have spots to fill in clubs. If you have a club with openings please post your info on here, and if you are looking to join a club please look here for clubs to join instead of having the barrage of posts with your particular interests.

Some info about clubs that would be helpful are the following:
Location
Price
How many acres
How many members
Guests allowed
Camp facilities: bunkhouse, electricity, running water, kitchen, skinning rack, meat cooler
Game available to hunt in addition to deer (hogs, turkey, ducks etc)
Management program
Food plots
Does your club run dogs
Timber: Hardwoods, pines (old growth, newly planted), cutover, bottomland that could be prone to flooding
Type property: Leased from individuals, club owned, leased from timber companies, National Forest property
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I am looking for openings in North MS. Generally looking in a rectangle area from Clarksdale - north, Holly Springs - west. Anywhere within about 1hr drive from the Southaven area. I would like a decent management program. I don't really turkey hunt and I have duck woods/fields so all I am interested in is deer and maybe fishing. My price range is somewhat flexible depending on what is offered.

I have a little girl to take fishing and walking in the woods with sometimes...

Anyone have any leads? Thanks!

Club in Copiah County needs a few members. Very family oriented club. No alcohol & no profanity. Part of property borders Copiah Creek for good swimming and playing. It is a year round place to have fun with your family.

We are a dog club, we run beagles for deer/rabbits. 2800 acres. Maximum number of members should be 45. That isn't as bad as it sounds because some of our members socialize and relax rather than hunt. We have a camphouse, campground area and there are a couple of campers for sale at this time. Dues are $650 a year. Club is at Georgetown, 35 minutes from Jackson area.

email rdmccaffrey@comcast.net or call me at 601-540-5268.
thanks,
Robert

looks like i'll be looking for a club in 2013, second one in 5 years to sell out from under me. Feel like i've been kicked in the gut. preferably something with strong management, western part of the state, delta, or black prairie.

Thanks,

Rebelyelp
