I know exactly where your birds was banded. About 25 mi. south of their farm on the river. Funny thing about that banding area is it's a spring migration the winter migration is very weak in that area. Hence the reason he was banded in the spring.

A lot of banded scaup killed on the bddc have been banded in IL. There have even been several of the satellite scaup banded on Pool 19 that winter on bddc and the surrounding area. Congrats!

I killed a drake bluebill with a band on saturday not to far at all from ya on another set of ponds just to the north. I called it in saturday night, will post the results when they come in.
