Thanks for clarifying.duramax wrote:That was the one a lot of folks had problems with. I thought the Cree was a brand name, it is a type or brand of led bulb, thats where all the brightness comes from/ Micha, using the little headlight is the bomb, you will never go back to cat eyes and cap lights again, you can strobe in and it just puts out a glow about 5 feet in diameter for walking and strobe out and you can shine deer eyes in the next county. For 2.56 you cant go wrong. This one is what I have and I vouch for it being a good one, they have gone up some since we ordered last. Here is the link that started all this:

Mine took damn near a month to get here, but the guy notified me when I bought it that he was having issues with his supplier. He gave me the option of a refund, but I said to ship it whenever he got it in. As soon as his supplier got him a light it was here in about 7 days.
Ordered mine last night, I hope you are right. I know I have a 1200L light that was expensive as hell that uses those same batteries. If its near as bad as that thing I will be happy happy happy!
MY other light outshines a 1 million q beam, no problems.

Re: led headlight
that 1600 lumen is insane, love it.
i don't have headlights on my old atv, and this light is way brighter than the original headlights.

I wouldn't run it in around places where there's likely to be a lot of submerged logs, but I have run my boat on plane at night using the 500 model (red and black one without the over-the-head strap) in the Pascagoula marsh while gator hunting. It worked like a charm to show channel markers, the bank, and traffic boats.RiverDuck wrote:I honestly do think I can run a boat at night with this light. Re: led headlight
I charge mine after every hunt. DO NOT overcharge the batteries, or they will be screwed (cant leave them on the charger overnight). Plug them up after the hunt and when the light turns green they are good to go. I get about 45min on the full power light setting before it starts to lose power. You have to remember, that little dude is putting out a lot of light/energy.
I have heard that you can buy better batteries for it than the ones it comes with...
