Once is an accident or an oversite, twice Maybe...But his name comes up several times a year on questionable deals.

There is no substitute for character!

A real man would have called these guys long before last week to let them know they had no place to hunt this year. I know one of these guys that he just screwed very well. The only reason he wanted a spot was for this 11-12 year old son. I am surprised he has not hunted him down yet. This guy would have leased the whole blind himself.... if he had only known.

It does not appear he has any friends on here that will take up for him.

I dont post that much on here, but when someone tries to lay blame on me for something I have no dealings with then I have problems, Let me set the record straight. I have had my own blind at Beaverdam and have had it for over seven years, none of those seven has SFdelta1 been a member. I have nothing to do with Eric's duck business so get your facts straight before you start pointing fingers. Anybody wants to know the facts can reach Big Ben Ferguson at 662-404-2052 and i will be more than happy to set this forum straight.....thanks again...onyoside.

Ben I've got a couple of questions for you. I know you both are good friends and have hunted together for years! I know a lot about you from him talking and seen y'all hunting together before an all his photos of you on Facebook.
You were partners with him on the place y'all tried to get together. That club I can't think of the name right now. But you knew how his wrong doings right then and still stop beside him correct?
The clubs he has been in you were in with him correct? I've talked to 2 of them a while back to verify.
The place y'all had together in sledge and lost, you and him were together.
You two run his guide service on BD on his blind for last couple of years.
I can go on and on but won't unless needed to. Like all the info he told my partner and I with yours and his plans with our property. Exactly what he did do this year over at BD.

Through all this you have no idea of him doing anything wrong or bad to people?

I am not saying you are a bad person. Just hard to think you are blinded to all his things he has done when you are with him 90% of the time for hunting and fishing.
Guess it falls under guilt by association.
May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
Cheers, Georgie.

As I posted above, you want the facts, give me a call.....I have never run a guide service on beaverdam for myself or with Eric and that is the facts of that. I am very close friends with Bobby Gookin and John Owens and they would never allow it. As far as the club in Sledge, ask any former member, I never handled the funds, signed any paperwork, or new the true internal workings of that disaster and I never duck hunted the property in sledge. I only showed the property to the potential members and tried to help Eric put it together. As far as last season goes, we not in any club together nor are we this year. As I said, please call me if you need further input, but please dont implicate me by association or by what you have been told by others, including Eric.

I am glad you got on here to defend yourself, my only problem is why you continue to associate yourself with Eric? Guilty by association is the only thing that makes sense. You have the right to chose your friends, family...another story. Half this country seems to believe in guilty by association the other half voted for Obama, I don't know your relation to Eric but I can assure you in this deal your friend Bobby implicated you. "the only reason I let him back in is cause me and Ben are friends and he spoke well of him" well? You stuck your neck out for the little weasel and for what, everyone of our mutual friends tell me your good as gold so I take that into account but what he did can't be fixed by re-funding $. Don't get me wrong Eric still has a Friday deadline to meet but how do you fix losing/screwing someone out of their planned hunting place the day the season opens?

Ben I am not accussing you of anything or dragging you name in the dirt by any means. I am just trying to get a better understanding of this all.
So you helped get it started with him in sledge? I wasnt a member but just going by what I was told by Eric and former members there and me speaking with you both. If you just helped them set up and stuff great. But you were a main contact on the property with Eric, I actually called and spoke with you both about it at the time but didnt want in. So once you knew of the issues you still didnt part ways with him and kept him close to you. Meaning you hunted with him at different places and such. How do I know this? Pictures say a 1000 words. That is where im lost as to you not knowing anything or having anything to do with it.

Another thing, if you and Eric were never in a club or on BD together why are there photos of yall hunting together over the last 3 years there? In the blinds and on open water with clients? Just interesting to me

He has till Friday to make it right with those guys and hopefully he does. I as well know 1 of the people now that were in it that got burnt. They are not 1 bit happy. He screwed them over big time in trying to hunt this year at the last minute.
May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
Cheers, Georgie.

I dont care to go on and on about this any longer, pitcures speak 1000 of words, but you may not know all the words.....as I stated we dont guide but we do take friends and i also have three other members in my blind that can bring guest if they like. Eric did donate 2 hunts on this forum to four guys 2 years ago and maybe that is what you think was guided, but I can assure you if he has ever recieved any funds for guiding, i certainly never new of it. I personally know that I have never taken a dime from anyone for hunting at beaverdam, i take many co workers and friends just to give them the experience, If you would like to go just give me a call....again no hard feelings and I am not here to defend Eric, he can get on here and take care of himself. I just dont need the issues pointing in my direction because I know or have hunted with him.....I am out, if anyone on here would like to hunt with me at beaverdam or my field, call me and I will fit you in for free, just ask around. Thanks, Ben.

Seems to me the man has spoken. A man has only his integrity to take with him when he dies. So, a man should- and usually does- take his integrity seriously. I do. With that being said, the fellow says he has no such affiliations with him... I believe him.

I am a bit subjective to the situation though...Ben I am bad about taking folks up on "offers-in-passing".

Sounds like way too many moving parts in that deal to begin with. If you don't lease from mans name who is on the deed your just askin for it. Every scam out there comes from third parties tryin to land pimp. Usually you can smell those out like stink on caca.

I know a few folks who have lined up "sublease" style clubs. Been asked to get in on the ground floor. I always nicely decline and casually observe the ensuing chaos. Since this thread was started I've been trying to remember one case of these deals working out. Someone always gets screwed, left out, or feels taken advantage of.
