This trip was completely amazing... Still at a loss for words. This is the first time hunting that I truly got to see a rut and it was unbelievable. I've only been hunting a couple years now. After a few mishaps last season on taking my first buck. I finally sealed the deal and I am more in love with hunting than I could ever possibly think. I'm learning to humble myself, keep my mouth shut, and listen to people. I think I'm finally starting to grow up

It's unbelievable the amount of deer that we saw. So many nice bucks that we lost count. I was more intrigued with watching how the deer act than anything.
I took my first buck ever sunday, a 10 point with my new muzzleloader at 90 yards and dropped him in his tracks. I know he's not a big mature missouri buck, I honestly thought he was a lot bigger when he came running out of a thicket chasing a doe. Got a bit trigger happy. Our buddy Steve in our lease took his biggest buck ever on this trip too. I've never been more excited and proud for someone, seeing the glimmer in his eye after shooting this deer. We were all fired up and I think, I really see what hunting is all about. That good feeling.

And wouldnt you know, I saw several 140-150" bucks after I shot mine trying to fill my doe tag. I was sick

here's some pics.
