So, with straight up fair voting, she was able to get enough votes to be in the runnoff?

I will tell you this. I wanted to know, like others, if this was some politcally motivated issue by our liberal president and chancellor. My sister-in-law is a Chi O at Ole Miss and I inquired about the homecoming queen a week or so ago. She told me, she is one of the greatest girls on campus. She went from sorority house to sorority house, fraternity to fraternity, apartment to apartment, asking for votes and she won fair and square. She told me she is one of the greatest people she has ever met. She said she could run for political office and win easily. She comes from a strong military family with great family values.

I can tell you, without a doubt, no "Old Row" SEC school's fraternity is voting for her, if more than the pledges voted at all. Good person, family, whatever.

bingo.

i can tell you not near as much effort is put into homecoming queen as is being Ms Ole Miss and Col Reb, for Greeks anyway...

i don't ever even remember voting/helping campaign or any of that garbage for homecoming queen.. happy for ole girl though. i'm sure she worked hard for the recognition she got. i'll keep up with athletics, and let someone else worry about homecoming queen

You get a big win and all you have is a sarcastic jab at state fans..
Too funny. The original post did not mention MSU at all. This post was about Ole Miss. For the Ole Miss fans here. A little humor for my fellow Rebs here. And the person calling folks names is the person who turned this Ole Miss thread, once again, into a UM-MSU pissing match. Just check out all of his past posts on this sports board. Every one is about Ole Miss or slamming Ole Miss. That is why I stated that he must be obsessed and insecure. He is an Ole Miss thread killer. Apparently, he just cannot stand the thought of any Rebel fan here saying anything even remotely postive about the Rebels. And he views it as his personal mission in life and job to make sure that does not happen without his 2 cents (and that's being generous --- I'm actually thinking his juvenille smack ain't worth two squirts of piss).

It ain't always about you MSU guys. Its just not. Until the end of the season, we Rebs basically don't care that much about MSU. Nothing personal. Get over yourselves. Go enjoy your 6-0 record and signature wins under Mullen. Its great. Rejoice. Tear down the goal posts. Start your own threads. But, it would be nice not to have every Ole Miss thread highjacked with this MSU bullcaca.
Oh I get the sarcasm it was funny the first 15 times he used this same "delusional" fan sarcasm
Better get used to it. Its my new name for the Rebels for the rest of the season. The "Delusional Rebels" has a nice ring to it. As much as I would like to, I can't really take full credit for the idea --- you and a few others were my inspiration. You've got your TSUN,... I'm claiming "Delusional Rebels". Yes, the Rebs aren't a very good football team, but we can still have a little bit of fun, can't we?

With regard to our Homecoming Queen, I think I bumped booties with her once while dancing at Po Monkey's Lounge. I thought she looked familiar. That girl's got game.

If that's the case, then how did the Chi O get in there in the first place. Don't tell me you Ole Miss boys are in the same denial about your homecoming queen that you are about your football team :-)

If Freeze had given the ball to the Homecoming queen on that 4th and inches play against TAMU, then we would be talking about a 5-2 Rebel team today!

BTW, so much for the talk about red shirting Miss America's at Ole Miss if that's the best you can do for Homecoming Queen

Since y'all brought up the HC Queen, look what I did to my wife on Sunday.......
But first, congrats to the rebs. 2 years is a long time for anyone to wait for a conf win (even though I don't see one in our near future, but I digress). My wife had not been back (to a game) since graduating so this year we made plans before the season for the AU / OM game. I did not try to back out even after I realized what a pathetic product AU was fielding this season. Just mentally prepared myself to lose & lose big. Much less painful this way. So anyway, we arrive in Oxford Friday night, do the whole square thing (which is a cool environment by the way), get 3 hours of sleep & up early with bloody marys & do the grove thing before making our way to VHS. With the first half in the books, we hung around for the halftime festivities & watched history being made. Wife was completely shocked when the 2012 Homecoming Queen was introduced & made her way across the field. Keep in mind, Ole Miss was still a very conservative place when she left so she could not believe her eyes. Went on & on & on & on about it. Went as far as claiming fraud! Saying that it must have had everything to do with this being the 50th anniversary of Meredith’s enrollment. I have no idea if it did or not & frankly don't care. I say congrats to the young lady for getting enough votes to earn the crown. Actually I did hear back at the tailgate that she was the freshman orientation leader & all the freshmen knew her by name which makes sense to me.

So long story short, without my wife knowing, I changed her background on her computer Sunday morning while she was busy. Later that day, I knew she'd found my surprise when I heard her dying laughing from the other end of the house.
So when she logged in, instead of a picture of the girls & I walking in the woods, this is what she saw:

Good night is that her? Seriously. No, pomonk, MSU fans do not keep up with little brother enough to know this.

Looks like a fine research topic for an MSU swine production student to take on.

But in any case, good for her. And like I said before, good Saturday for the state of Mississippi- that includes Old Miss. I always pull for the Rebears until the end of the year. Mississippi State University livestock majors certainly do.

There are a lot of Ole Miss ladies wbo have led groups, are known by name and look like they are going to live past 30 years of age. I dont give a rat's ass where she walked or who she asked. Walking is what she needs to be doing! There is nothing healthy about this girl at all and politics HAD to have played a "huge" part in this. Black or white, her big butt is not at all a representation of OLE MISS! Sorry, Ms. Pearson, wipe the bbq sauce from all of your chins, grab a cup cake and a box of tissues. How many votes were taken? Of 20,000 students she got 1477 votes!
