Likely from teh looks of teh small photo, but where's the tree growing - someone's yard or in a creek bottom?

Tree is in the woods. Not in a creek bottom but it is on the edge of a small drain that empties into a lake. Not running water but it stays fairly damp.

I've got some cups from last year that a golf ball will fit in. The deer love them. Mine usually don't drop until late Oct. early Nov.

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day
and THAT is a duck hunt.

I've got a spot with a few of those trees. Gonna try and collect a few acorns and sprout em. Maybe in 30 years I'll thank myself.

Hunt them!!! My honey hole is a group of 15 cow oaks about 100 yards from the big black. I have killed good bucks there every year.

I've been wanting to try this too. I've got a couple on my place that are starting to drop now. What's the best way?

I'll have to go back and look it up again. Others on here know more than I do about it(not a surprise there). If I recall it's mostly about recreating natural conditions. Like putting them in the refrigerator for a few months then planting them in trays. A lot of timing and waiting. I'm sure the wife will be pleased with trees in her refrigerator.
