proud of the Rebels!

Postby swamprooter » Sat Sep 29, 2012 10:42 pm

became a Freeze man tonight. what an effort from a team with no chance of being in the game but arguably in the game till last minutes.. bama supposedly have best line in college football but had to settle on 2 field goals in 2nd half... Couldn't push our 254 # nosegaurd over. ole Miss outscored Bama 7 to 6 In 2nd half.. moral victory!!! last count 5 tide players had to leave the game.... hotty Toddy ... Loved what I saw...

Is Bama overrated or Freeze can coach up?

Freeze can coach up. In time, Freeze is going to get it done when he can get his own recruits. He has done a great job already. They played with emotion tonight. Need a QB.

Ole Miss played above their heads for sure while bama was caught looking ahead

O never mind they have a bye next week. No looking ahead there

damn right. true fresh at nose tackle.... got to get bo settled under pressure. shot ourselves in the foot 3 different times in the 2nd quarter. it's amazing the difference in game one to game 4. bama is solid and ain't gonna make any mistakes on their own.

on another note, felt good to see col reb on the side line again tonight.

hope you enjoyed the game webbie.... now on to the next one...

how about the game announcers.. I loved it on one drive when the Rebs were knocking it down their throats and announcers were bragging on every bama defense player on how great they are ( which they are) while we move the ball to a TD...

rebel duck... I disagree we played over our heads.. We had what 4 interceptions.... 3 shank punts and a questionable TD call... Kick off return against us.....we should threw up 3 more TDs.

Total offense
bama. 17 first downs. Total offense 305. ( 99 of this was kick off return)
Rebs. 16 first downs. Total offense. 218. 3 turnovers

Should could have , whatever.....we lost to a better team on both sides of ball but.........

Johnny bears hit their tails in the mouth for sure

The defense did their job. Kudos to them after the Texas flustercluck. Ole Miss is going to beat somebody this year as an underdog this year. Who's it gpnna be???????

When I say we played over our heads should've made it clear on d. I know that there were several miscues in special teams and qb play was definitely not over their heads

You Old Miss fans are giving your enemies ammo. You just lost again and you already got guys talkin' noise about the defense on general discussion. Listen, I am a state fan. We know about sucking, but geez the olden days are over-you suck.. You're like the fat kid that made it to third base while everyone was clapping cheering and cutting up. We're proud of ya', but let's not get out of hand here. You lost. Again...lost...

You "almost" won by making it to home base; we are glad for you. Yet make no mistake: you are still fat and you still lose.

Also, I look at the bama game similiar to the concept of death. Life goes on everyday, but I still wake up at night sweating and knowing it must happen. At least I don't live there, though. I was pulling for Old Miss though. Other than The Mississippi State University beating them, nothing would tickle me more than the fat kid silencing all those rednecked fools.

We know we LOST. If you have not noticed the last two years we have sucked tremendously. Kinda like y'all's Croom days.

I promise when y'all got Mullen the same threads were coming out his first year as well. Just glad to see a different product on the field. But in case you have heard were jus a delusional fan base who only wants to win the party

No, that's a product of some of your own's marketing techniques. No self respecting red-blooded Mississippi man gives a care in the world about winning a "pary" over winning the game.

Yes Ole Miss is improved but Bama did not show up with their A game. They played with no intensity or emotion. Also you are not going to have a lot of yards when your defense forces turnovers and there are several shanked punts and the kickoff return does not count towards total offense. You fellas just need tone it down a not h.

Hard to show your A game when your getting hit in the mouth... our A game doesnt include throwing 3 interceptions and having a 99 kick off return either.

everyone from The Old Ball Coach to Paul Finebaum has commented that Ole Miss has no talent and for us to play the Number 1 team this hard nose a game, excites me as a rebel fan and what Freeze is doing with NO talent and a young team.

even though we were picked to lose by 30, we outscored Bama in the second half!!! That's with 3 first round draft choices they have as offensive lineman versus the smallest d line in the SEC

tone it down? Why? I am excited about what I saw tonight. With the second strongest 2012 schedule in D-1, we will not have a lot of opportunities to brag about wins. may not win another game but this team is SO much different than Nutts team to season ticket holder.

Whether they brought their A game or not, A win is a win. TSUN did look good on defense though.
