Ebonics aside...he is right. Moreover, the suspensions have no consistency relative to hits applied. I have seen numerous hits by both LSU and Bama this year that are "suspendable" in view of this suspension and the Ole Miss suspension.

somebody or something turned the SEC office onto this suspension action (maybe the Tulane player injury) and it so happened the Ole Miss player was first notable hit to be reviewed and therefore first suspended and it's rolling downhill now...otherwise the Bama block in Michigan game and the Tulane hit on S.C. receiver would have to be penalty....

unless there really are black helicopters...

The difference between this and Trae Elston is that jungleboi  clearly makes helmet to helmet contact. His celebration afterwards probably doesn't help...

No doubt junglebunny intentionally lead with his helmet. These suspensions are gonna make these morons learn to play by the rules.

I don't know if I agree...sometimes the hits are a bit much, but DB's hit hard and always have, they try to dislodge the football and that's the style of the player...I just can't be settled in all that some of these restrictions are good for the game...people get hurt playing football and players taking blind shots that have no bearing on the play or game, yeah that unnecessary, but a hard shot over the middle on a play is football to me...I don't know I'm torn...

I like to see DB's go through somebody, not torn at all. Of course we aren't on the same page as far as our schools and their respective reverence for tradition goes. Possibly Old Miss could start some sort of alternate league where players discuss the political, social and physical ramifications of the hit before the actual hit? A, "round table" discussion, for lack of a better phrase? Maybe a circle-jerk for dessert?

Ya' know, since ain't no DBs at Old Miss going through anybody. Food for thought...

I like to see a DB lay out somebody as much as the next guy, but don't lead with the helmet or go for helmet to helmet contact. Kinda simple. I'd much rather hit somebody with my shoulder than my noggin.

yeah, but think about it...as with the Ole Miss player...if you lay out somebody full speed, the interpretation of leading with shoulder or helmet and the violent nature of that collision is the same, to the point with slow motion replay it's difficult to determine player intent or actually what happened...that's why I just don't know, if he is making a play on the ball or the player immediately involved with the ball, they need back off and let em play, that's football...now if he leads with helmet or with shoulder to the jaw on a defenseless player that is not making a play on the ball, just to lay someone out...that's where they should be throwing flags and handing down reprimands if they wanna peel back hits in the game...

Hard to see how the suspension was justified if he wasn't flagged on the field. Just sayin', it's all in the past anyhow.

The only way to stop the helmet to helmet hits and leading with your head is to take away the helmets. Go back to the old days before there were helmets. No one is gonna launch head first and aim for the other players head if they might crack their skull in the process. They will stark tackling with their body more like they do in rugby.
