I know we've beat this horse before but I can't find the thread. I know they don't have holding tanks which isn't a big deal to me. Just want somethign to stay in during deer season.

Your resident mortgage loan officer. You've got a friend in the business. http://www.adamblack.net

Used to have one set up at Chotard for a "fishing camp". Would be great for someone shorter than me (I'm 6'-7"). Lacks a little space if you don't have a slide-out (I didn't). Other than that, they work great, as long as you have water & sewer close.

We've got one at our place in Vaughn, nothing wrong with it for a place to crash when hunting. Not gonna work for any kind of social event though...

I do. Set -up is two sets of bunks in the front room, one set of bunks in back along the bathroom, with full fridge, sofa, table, stove, microwave, all for $3500. it works great for me. plug it in and roll with it. easy to clean, has AC/Heat as well that runs of electricity. hot water heater runs off of propane. I think its one of the most economical camps i've ever had, and when I need to move it, i back the truck up to it, lower my jacks and in 10 minutes im on the blacktop.

Looks like we are going to have one this year. It was a plan B but cant find a plan A.

We have one, a Gulfstream Cavalier. It works just fine for us. Nice stovetop with 3 or 4 burners, a small oven, a microwave, full size refrigerator, kitchen sink, vanity sink/bath/medicine cabinet, shower, toilet. It does fine for us, we have had as many as 8 folks in it at one time during deer season which got a little cramped but it wasn't THAT bad. The A/C works WONDERFULLY, the heat works well but I recommend getting the larger propane tanks because the ones we have are just the regular size one like you'd have for a gas grill etc and they don't last too long when running the heat on cold nights. We've discovered that some small porcelain space heaters will keep it very comfortable. You can then use your propane for hot water heating and cooking exclusively.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

My son and I bought a couple of FEMA's. They have worked out pretty good for the money. One of my brothers bought one and put at his camp. I think it's worked for him ok. Works well for 2 adults. My wife and I have had our 4 and 5 year old grandchildren and our 2 labs with us, that is about maximum capacity. Hard to beat the price.

Got one and set it up a couple years ago. Guy had bought it and was in a bind since he was due to be transfered and started the following Monday in DC. (This was a Thursday) So, I got a great deal!
Definitely want to get larger propane tank
Roof is rubberized so best bet is to put a cover over it
Parked it next to my buddy at camp and we built a deck between our campers
Sure can't build a structure for what you can find them for.
Check the flooring for soft spots throughout.
AC in mine works fantastic! You could hang meat in there!
Small ceramic heater will keep it comfortable I just use the central when I first get there to knock the chill off
ALWAYS DRAIN YOUR WATER LINES!
ALWAYS DRAIN YOUR WATER LINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If your over 6' watch that $%&^ handle for the vent in the shower!
Last, those funny little bulbs the trailer uses can be found at Walmart, keep plenty on hand. I have gone thru about 10

I bought one earlier this year. I love it. I've stayed in it every weekend since I got power hooked up to it. My camp is my weekend getaway. My wife and son and 2 dogs (doberman and dachshund) and I stay in mine comfortably. I have a shed built over mine with 2nd shed on the side for atv garage and a 16 by 18 covered porch on the entrance side. One of the best purchases I've ever made.
