Which one would you guys recommend (Browning, Egg, Bayou Cypress)? 19" cooking grate range. All seem to be within $100-150 of each other. Heard good and bad on Egg and Bayou Classic, haven't heard anything about the new Browning one

Look at the primo grill
Re: Ceramic grills
Once you buy and start cooking on a ceramic grill it will change the way you cook forever! There is nothing like cooking on one....a good one! Go ahead and buy the heat deflector/place setter. This allows for indirect cooking. It is used when cooking brisket, boston butts, etc. check out this website: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramic.htm
Also, I dont care how good of a cook one thinks they are, in order to cook meat perfectly you will need a good meat thermometer. Good luck and do your research before buying one

Re: Ceramic grills
we sell the Kamado Joe's at my store and sell a bunch of them, I have, and have heard, no complaints about quality or customer service from them, and the price is better than the BGE. As a matter of fact, most of the time I call with any questions, the company owner answers the phone. One perk is that the stand and shelves come with the grill, no extras there, they make a regular version (about 19") and a big joe version (about 24" I believe). They cook great, i'd give them a look before you make up your mind.

Re: Ceramic grills
I had a bayou classic but my two labs knocked it over horseplaying. It is a awesome grill. Wouldn't hesitate to run another one. I went back with the oval primo and love it also.

Re: Ceramic grills
I can understand the ceramic grill is great for smoking meat(chicken ,butts, ect)
But how does it do with hamburgers, steaks,& pork chops
Do you use regular char coal with them?

Re: Ceramic grills
I got the bayou classic cypress grill. Couldn't see paying more for another brand. Family-owned Mississippi company headquartered in Brandon. Good customer service. Burger, steaks, ribs and backstraps. Haven't tried pizza yet, but won't grill any other way if at all possible.
