When buying something off this website, how does this work? Do you email them a check and hope they send your product? What if the product is damaged and they didnt inform you of this before you sent the money?

I've done paypal transactions....paypal offers some protection when purchasing like that...

for what it's worth, I've purchased 3 things on there this year, all good experiences...and spend a lot of time on there with the store, all good.

I've had nothing but good experiences for years now...just use Paypal for the transaction, you can at least file claim on there and get some protection

+1. I have purchased several items from the site including three bows, and all but one were good experiences. As for the bad experience, the seller misrepresented the condition of the string and poundage of the bow. I contacted a moderator who instantly got on top of it, and I was able to return the bow to the seller and get a refund. That site, is like this one, where most of the people are honest and care about their reputation and the feedback they get from buyers (which allows you to rate your transaction with the seller/buyer). But like any site, there are cons and some bad deals you read about - just make sure whoever you purchase a bow from has a good feedback history and try to pm the person about questions you have so you will have their responses if anything goes bad. One thing I would strongly advise, is that if you are purchasing a bow, tell the seller that you will pay him for the insurance for the bow during shipping or tell him that he needs to pay the insurance and make sure either way that as a part of the deal, it will in fact be paid. It's better to handle this on the front end than having to fight about who owes what and trying to get your money back for a bow that gets damaged during the shipping process.

I recently purchased an item from there as well. Guy was real nice to deal with, had my item at my doorstep 5 days after the check cleared.
How do you check a user rating by the way?
All I know is... A wise rooster don't bury his head when a chicken hawk is around...he keeps his eyes on his chickens

Dude...Why'd you make the homeless guy pay for supper?

Click on their name, go to view profile, then click feedback and it will pull it all up.

Archerytalk has one of the best user feedback systems of any forum I frequent. I have had nothing but good dealings, but I am very cautious of who I deal with on any forum. I second what others above have said, and I make a habit of picking up the phone and calling the seller on any purchase above $100 just to get a warm and fuzzy feeling about the individual. If they are hard to get on the phone before a purchase, or seem shady in any way, just think what it will be like after a problem arises.
