Postby swamprooter » Tue Aug 07, 2012 3:33 pm

Looking at buying a pit blind preferably a roll top 4 to 6 man . Any suggestions as where to buy one and things to consider and watch out for ? New or used. Not picky. Thanks for any help.

if you go new, call Adam Lyerly. http://www.arkansasduckblinds.com/
His pits are real nice.

Adam is your go to for pits. He's currently in Oklahoma City for the junior worlds with his daughter, but he should be back in town by Sunday. 16ft Bayou Special will probably be your best choice with single or double dog box. The roll top will increase the price of the pit though. Also he will deliver anywhere.

Pretty sure Adam's are made out of a thicker steel than the Osceola's.

Well I didn't measure it to say accurately what size it was made from. It looked to be a well built pit nonetheless.

I don't think I have ever hunted out of one of Adams pits but I will say I never heard the first negative word about his fabrication only highly positive feed back
