Here's the way I see it - it sucks that people judge people by how they present themselves but if you don't know that person that is all that you have to go off of. So why would you intentionally look like the people that commit most of the crimes? If Mike Marry is a great student and great kid, that's great, but he is choosing to be stereotyped by looking like a typical thug, that's HIS choice - but if a gas station clerk doesn't know who the hell Mike Marry is and sees him walk into his gas station at midnight he will watch him close because he looks like 95% of the other thugs that have robbed his store before. Not saying that most people that look like a thug are criminals - what I am saying is that most people that commit crimes look like a thug so people will naturally "sterotype" a guy that looks and dresses like a thug and that's just human nature. One of the many reasons our country is the way it is, is because we have been told that stereotyping is terrible and racist.....that's bull$hit! Stereotyping is what can keep you alive - if a woman is riding through downtown Jackson at night and she sees 5 thugs with their pants hanging down to their booty with gold teeth and wife beaters on walking towards her car I would hope she would lock her doors because she IS stereotyping and protecting herself and she doesn't want to get carjacked, raped or whatever.
We can't sterotype people that look like Muslim terrorists in airports so 80 year old women and 4 year old kids are just as likely to get searched as a Middle Eastern guy with a white robe on and a towel on his head. Not all Muslims arre terrorists but most terrorists arre Muslims and the peaceful Muslim looks and dresses just like the Muslim terrorist.
We've been told not to stereotype for so long and the people, black or white, that CHOOSE to look like a criminal are told that it's not their fault for getting looked at harder than a person that chooses NOT to look like a criminal. Well, it is their fault because it was a choice and there are consequences for personel choices and in this instance that consequence is being labeled a thug. His fault, not mine. There is such a thing as consequences and accountability, unfortunatly the ones who choose to look like a thug or act like a thug have been told their whole life that everyone else is the problem and not them.

It is your choice to look like a criminal, it is my choice to assume you are until I know you're not - because, like I said earlier, that's all I have to go on.

Post DID include picture. Some of us laugh,Some offended (mostly Ole Miss guys)..State Fans get a Chuckle..and agree Thug in appearance (however not stating said Dogs are Thug free or not)..Captain scolded for thinking a book called "playboy" has naked pics in it...support stated that even though "Dude Look Like a Lady" he is NOT. Nice sermon not to judge others by appearance. Confessions made, but right before Church lets out, counter sermon that sometimes it is good to profile,and most of us do it,(recommendations/disclaimer is not to get caught in the act due to legal actions)(that part is mine).....Benefits of Discussion....Captain has become a Bama fan.....we will all read Playboy (to make sure what is really in there) ...Dude got a Haircut!!
