Since your staying at the Grand, take the kids to the other pool at lakewood its much nicer, its part of the Grand, also the food there at the Colony Grill is very good.
Great pizza!! Old 27 is good like the other post said. Fly Creek is ok but has great atmosphere kids will enjoy. Felix's on causeway and Bluegill on causeway are also
fun to go to. If you go into Fhope for the day, Pannini Petes is good, Master Joes Sushi is good.

Just a warning...the causeway/bayway can be a freaking nightmare in the summer with all the tourists heading to/from the beach. If you do have to go into Mobile, I suggest taking Hwy 90 vs. I-10. As someone mentioned, Felix's on the causeway (hwy 90) is very good. I also like R&R. Tacky Jack's and The Original Oyster House are OK but a little touristy for me.

I spent the past few days in Fairhope and had dinner at the Wash House Monday night. It was outstanding! The service was great and the food was outstanding.
