ive got a commander, only have 8 hours on it right now, but i intend on using it duck hunting, the hours that are on it were just play, and even with the stock tires it will go, but im sure that before long i will have some meats on it! It will run 30" tires with just adjusting the suspension all the way up! It rides real well and would buy another if i had to!

how much are they? I saw some priced at $15k. That is crazy to me, but then again the last fourwheeler I bought cost me $8900.00

Especially the 900. The 900 has unreal power and beats the can am in a drag race. Also I was told because if the suspension you could put 31" tires on it with no lift. So you may want to look at the 900 RZR too. For hunting I will stick to my ranger tho.
This is where people are wrong. The Commander is more comparable to the Ranger, than it is to the RZR. For all out play get a RZR. I hunted off of my commander and had no problem with it. The belt system on the commander needs some help. You can get a clutch kit or full replacement clutch and fix that. The low exhaust is not a problem in water. I had mine over the front dashboard a few times idling, with no problems. I did have the belt & motor snorkeled, just for the piece of mind that comes from knowing exactly where the intakes are. Unless you have owned one, you really do not have a leg to stand on when comparing them. I had an 800xp Ranger and the 1000X Commander, just for reference. Also, look @ the fit and finish of the machines....
I don't have any experience on the commander but do with the outlander 800. I do think quality wise that can am is ahead of Polaris just think the ranger is more set up for work and the commander for play. Nt saying you can't do both in either tho. Just a personal preference but I do think the commander is very nice especially the pic of the one in this thread. A Ranger with accessories will cost you $15k so I Imagine the commander would be a little more by the time you get out the door with it.

I gave 13800 for my Commander. True the Commander is is more suited for play than a Ranger, but that's like saying a Humvee is more for play than a deuce and a half. The Commander is sort of a cross over Side by Side. I agree with Boovan totally. Plus, I think I've seen your name on the Commander forums.

Have to agree with Boovan. His would go, I have ridden with him some. RZR is the sport end of them with Ranger being more of the working end one. Commander gives you both of both worlds. Have yet to hunt off of one but don't think I would ever hunt off a RZR. Ridden them stock all the way up to one with a turbo and 30's on it. Not a true hunting machine. If you are getting one mainly to hunt, Ranger crew would be the ticket. Can hall all the gear you want plus multiple people and still have a fun machine to play on from time to time. My .02

mine cost me right at 15 out the door, with gap insurance, and all the other bs! but the machine itself is only about 13! The only thing i dont like is the way it shifts into reverse!
