That's what Verizon told me when I got my new phone with them.donia wrote:^^heard something along the lines of at "re-up" time, on contract, verizon kept same $$ on their end, but cspire upped $$ on their end of the tower share rates....verizon said piss on'ya, so verizon towers are verizon (and their piggy-backers, minus cspire) and cspire towers are cspire (and their piggy-backers, minus Verizon).

Re: Is CSPIRE down or something
I'm in the process of updating the firmware on my phone. Evidently, there have been two revisions since I bought the phone. This process will delete everything on the phone like email, pictures, internet bookmarks, etc. I'm considering deleting all that anyway just to see if the danged phone will work better. I'm sure having all this stored on the phone will slow it down/cause trouble? There are links on how to do this on the cellsouth website.
For some reason, the battery has got to be fully charged.
While I'm waiting for the battery to charge fully, if someone knows how to store all text messages on my SD card or computer where they can be retrieved later, I would love to do this?
I'll report back if this solves my problem.
Thanks.

They also recommended that I download an app cache cleaner program which automatically clean all the cashe.
So I've got that going for me...

I doubt the name changed caused any dead spots, seeing how the corporate name is still the same but Dba Cspire. I've never had an trouble out of them and travel the state pretty regularly

So far, so good for me today. One full day after the update, I'm still good to go. I haven't had to re-login while browsing from my phone. I sure hope that fixed my problem?
