Spraying boom for Ranger

Im wanting to make a boom that I can mount on my polaris ranger..Any ideas,tips or pics of what yall have done..? Ive seen a boom made that mounts into the receiver hitch..it worked pretty well. Let me know what yall think.

Go with a boomless nozzle. Can spray up to 15 ft with one pass and you don't have to worry about knocking boom off. We buy ours at MS AG in rolling fork or yazoo they are worth money then you can modify bracket to fit receiver.

Boomless is the way to go. I've got one on a rhino that will cover 25ft. I sprayed about 30 acres of pasture this spring and never had any problems. Made a bracket for the receiver hitch in about 20 minutes out of scrap iron. I've got a pick if you want me to email it to you.

Over small acreage or if money isnt an issue go with the boomless. Easy as pie to set up. Check out TeeJet's website for application info. If you've got some tough weeds to kill or Rup resistant weeds the boomless may not be the best option. Either way you go coverage and volume are the kings now. Shoot for as fine a droplet as you can get with as high a volume of H2O as possible add in some hot temps and you can light up some weeds. Water is cheap use as much as you can stand.

On a side note if you have access to some metal working tools I would avoid the hitch mount stuff. I always opt for a higher more ridged mount with some breakaway flexibility.
