high protein dog food

Postby Glen Livet » Mon Jun 25, 2012 6:17 pm

I've always heard you should go to a high protein feed during hunting season. Is it a good idea to start the dog on high protein dog food during dove season? I'll dove hunt 15 times between Sept and Oct. I didn't know if the warm weather and high protein would be a good idea or not.

Mine are on Purina Pro plan performance year round--30/22. They train on average 4-5 days a week year round as well. Temp makes no difference as to what you feed. Find a good quality feed and you will be amazed how much less of it you need to keep them looking good.
