Saw so many new ducks today in the delta. Large numbers and dumb just the way i like it. We hunted FLOODED rice field 3 hunters.

12 greenheads
1 widgeon (mistake)

Seeing large numbers today renews my faith that the ducks are coming. We are taking some guys tomorrow will report after hunt.

Shot at a green head, but it dove down in back of a Suzie. So my only kill this year so far was a Suzie!

I am not going back until it gets cold!

I am with Magnum. Saw LOTS of geese in the Delta. Saw a fair number of high fliers in the AM. Had about 20 or so big ducks land long of our spread and a woodie land in it b4 shooting time. People about 1/2 mile from us were shooting alot. I didn't fire my gun. Saw a ton of birds last week. Was dissapointed this morning. With so much water the birds are really spread out. IMO if you are where they want to be you'll do good. If not you'll sight see and get some calling practice. Really need to dry out some do the birds will concentrate a little and get a cold front to bring more numbers in. It won't be long though with the numbers of geese I saw moving. It just sucks that you wait all year for your days then have floods and extnded summer but I guess that's why it's called hunting and not killing

I find it truly hard to believe that 1 guide service is killing alot of ducks when most people are scraping to kill a couple in the same Delta that a majority hunt. Ya'll sure this isn't propaganda or free advertising for a guide service on this forum. I hunt some prime holes and scout alot and just haven't seen the numbers to support a big group of hunters limiting out. I have friends in private clubs with plenty of water and good food sources that kill ducks every year that ain't killing ducks. The weather just isn't right yet for alot of migrators to be here.

The "club" behind my hole was either slaying the heck out of them yesterday, or shooting skeet! I hunt on 2000 of private land with a 70 acre lake that is usually covered up, but yesterday NADA!(not a bird in the stratosphere!) On the land just due south, where a bunch of rich lawyers hunt it sounded like Afghanastan! I ain't going back til it gets cold!

Went to check things out around Chotard/Albermarle lakes north of Vicksburg. Counted 15 or so ducks the whole time. Mainly rode & looked around. Another group with us killed one Woody & a Merganzer. Slim numbers from my account. Rode Steel Bayou & put out trot lines. Caught about a 50 lb. tabby cat that fed 20. Wasn't a duck dream, but not an outdoors disappointment either!

Hey featherduster, We are killing ducks because we hunt around 15,000 acres in Bolivar, Coahoma, and Sunflower county. So we are able to go where the ducks are instead of the ducks coming to us. Harrel, I would agree with you on the 'guide service'.....they're either real good, or they're real good liars.

BUT, I gotta give'em the benefit of the doubt here.....let me explain. The last BIG concentration of birds I saw, was last Sunday, when 'bout 4000 ducks and 'bout 8000 geese left the Boeuf River bottom in South Moorehouse Parish, crossed the River at Mayersville, MS and headed toward Hollandale/Belzoni. Now since 4-i'd is an aquaintance of Micah's (whether Micah wants us to know he associates with folks such as that) ....and Micah brokers leases in the Belzoni area, it's quite possible they killin' big limits.....if that's the case, I'm happy for'em.....ya'll wear they butts out!

On the other hand, if it's like you suggest (and this is a 'marketing scheme')......well, shame on those who dumb enough to buy into it.....(the scheme, that is). I gotta say, they did their homework, if it's payin'-off like they thought it would.

This past weekend, we saw a few geese flying North toward Issaqueena/Sharkey Cos. 'Didn't hear any shooting, other than a few deer gettin' 'whacked'. I hope someone's lucky enough to be at either end of these minor migrations.

2 Guns .....hunted 3 days.....flooded rice (Hell, who could tell WHAT'S below all that damn water......what ISN'T flooded?)

2 GW teal, 3 grayducks

Dixie-Boy, Ya'll oughta be ashamed of yourselves, man.....that's 20% of what ya'll killed, lost .......and that's just the ones you know about......were they spoonies, or somethin'? That sucks! Come-on, ya'll can do better than that...... that'ain't something I'd wanta be tellin' folks, myself.

Hunted Saturday in the AM. Saw about 300 woodies and one flight of Mallards. I think the mallards were local birds though. To hot to hunt Sunday!
