I have a gravely 152 ( i think) I like it alot. You get alot of more mower for you money. I looked at them all before i bought one. I think the gravely come standard with a suspension seat as to with the other i think you have to pay extra for that.

As for as a weadeater i think any of the major brands ( stihl, husky, redmax, shindiawa) should be good. I have a husky 232L and it has alot of power. I like the shindiawa weedeaters also.

After many, many, many hard hours and about 10 years, my Stihl FS36 trimmer finally gave up last year and I bought a FS 55 straight shaft. Like the trimmer just fine - it's a Stihl, cranks on the second pull every time. But the design of the bump cap is the worst piece of garbage ever made. I used to weedeat all day with out a line tangle, now I'm lucky to go 30 minutes. I'm going to buy the other kind of head when I get over being pizzed about it.

a ryobi from Home depot the kind that has all the saw attachment and stuff. That thing hasn't run right since I got it and
I still can't get it right. Taken it to shop more times than I've used it. What is a good weedeater that I can count on to crank
and run every time I pick it up to use it?

I've had both a Kawasaki brand weed eater and backpack blower for the past 5 years and have never had a bit of trouble out of either one. I'm amazed how easy they are to start- especially after sitting up all winter. Kawasaki motor on my JD mower with no problems.

I'm sold on anything Kawasaki in the small engine department.

I broke down and purchased a Stihl weedeater. Also purchased the breakaway blade type head for it. I can't stand weedeater string.

I found a package deal on a mower, weedeater, blower & push mower by Cub Cadet (which is the current tractor type I have anyway). It seems to be a good
mower. Price was too good to pass up on what all I got with the deal so I'm going to see how it works out. If it doesn't, I'll hang a for sale sign on it and go
get me an Exmark. Local Napa has a good price on them as well, but I"m gonna see how this Cub holds up. Really heavy built mower.

thanks for all the advise.
