This is gonna sound weird but my son gave me "Snow Angel" by Glenn Beck for Christmas. I finally read it last week and it's really really good. Not the usual Beck stuff and very good. A one night read.

Always liked Undaunted Courage , written by Stephen Ambrose. A 1996 biography of Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, and the Lewis and Clark Expedition.. awesome read. I like Ambrose stuff.

Read parts of it and your right it is very good. Two other good MS Delta books are Lanterns on the Levee, Walker Percy (from greenville i believe) and Dixie by Curtis Wilkie.
