I care.
If MSU had been winning ballgames I would be less concerned, but I see this lose as a further indicator that this season is slowly spinning and is soon to be headed down the bowl. I wish I could say that I see light at the end of the tunnel, but when you are either winning one ball game or getting swept every weekend its hard to keep a positive attitude.

Polk said Cohen wasn't the right man for the job!!!!
Re: Thanks for Coming state.....
I care....dang Dogs! I thought once our lineup was back intact we would start getting on a roll. We still continue to lose close games. Sure, we COULD of taken 2/3 from USC but we were swept. COULD have beaten LSU, but did not. This is going to be a season of "coulda, woulda, shoulda" if they do not kick it up a notch.
Are we gonna get wet?

Because he wanted his lacky Raffo to have the job so he could stick around and still be calling the shots behind the scenes.merlebo05 wrote:Polk said Cohen wasn't the right man for the job!!!!
Re: Thanks for Coming state.....
Hindsight is 20/20 but Raffo would not have done any worse than this. Year 4 of Cohen ball is looking pretty bad. Even the biggest Cohen supporters would have to admit that they expected more.
Re: Thanks for Coming state.....
Everybody seems to forget that the Bulldogs were 2 outs away from Omaha last year.......
That being said, we had 3 conference games go to extra innings that we lost. There were several other 1 and 2 run conference games we lost. Sure, people say the good teams win those but if we had managed to win half those games we are in the thick of things and a top 15 team.
All things considered, were not that far "off". Could be worse, we could be a hyped up Ole Miss team that never lives up to their overrated expectations.....imagine having to be an OM player and having to walk around with that on your shoulders.
But in the words of Ron Polk, until the scholarship situation is addressed in baseball (or until we get the lottery in MS and AL to fund scholarships).....look for the MS and AL schools to struggle occasionaaly. Tough to compete with 11 scholarships when the rest of the conference has unlimited scholarships

Re: Thanks for Coming state.....
I've just never cared for the MT/GC game. Just doesn't excite me at all. It's the season series that counts for me.
