Ya'll bust any today? 12-15

Postby FranchiMan » Sat Dec 15, 2001 8:00 pm

Wondering if anyone did any killin' today.

Heard of several people seeing some migrators.

Jumped two wood ducks this morning. Nothing else. Heard alot of Snows movin'.

Went to Sardis this evening. No ducks flying up and down it at all.

Doesn't look like tomorrow is gonna be any better. Forecast is calling for rain and a few T'Storms. Sure won't be no ducks after that. Probably sleep in tomorrow, but I'll be after em' hard everyday for the next couple of weeks. I'll eventually find em' holding up somewheres. After all, thats what keeps us goin' ain't it? WATER AT SARDIS UP TO SUMMER POOL AND A LITTLE MORE....KINDA MUDDY THOUGH...THIS
SHOULD BE A FAIRLY "HIGH WATER" YEAR
FOR THE LAKES DOWN I-55...FINALY THE PROPER
WATER DEPTH FOR A BETTER THAN AVERAGE SPAWN.
THAT WILL FRUSTRATE THE CORPS

Flo Man, the water was at 263.5 yesterday. That means its HIGH. Plenty of water for duckin'. Just no ducks. Nobody I've talked to is seeing or killin' any up there. The water is higher than its been during this time of year in about 10 years!

wouldn't it be friggin awesome if the water was at a good level for the crappie spawn. I hate the way it usually is with 98% of the lake being out of any kind of structure that you would consider crappie spawn habitat. and the other 2% so loaded up with fisherman that you are constantly running into other boats, getting lines tangled with each other etc. the corps is quick to tell you that they aren't there to accomodate (SP???) the sportsmen. well, to that I ask this question where would they be without our tax money?

I hear ya man. Sardis is supposed to be a FLOOD CONTROL reservoir, but what about that marina they puttin' in and that DAMN golf course they went and built. How is that helping to control water? The Corps tell everybody that the lake was not built for hunting and fishing. They crap on us, but they sure don't mind accomodating golfers!
