Not the intention. I have been doing rescue / dive recovery on the river for fifteen years. I REALLY dont want to pick you up clinging to a sack of decoys en route to LA, but it is better than suiting up and diving for you (if diving is an option). The point is that people have hunted the river as long as people have hunted. It can be hunted safely but you better have the right equipment, knowledge, and experience. Do the homework, get your equipment up to speed, get the safety gear, learn the water, and come on out. Just mind your manners !

Don't put your waders on while in the boat or in the main channel. Hell it will probably be safer to leave the waders at home.

Just reread this. Took my new partner out for his first time on the river earlier this week. Not many game wardens even like work it but I enjoy it. Wanna make your sphincter get so tight you can't drive a toothpick up it? Get your motor caught in a net while checking it and then get spun around with your aft to the current. You'll appreciate a sharp knife in times like those.

Soon as he claims his untagged, illegal mesh size gear. I doubt it's worth the 2 grand ticket to him though. Now, arent you tired of being a jackass all the time?

Was out on the mississippi river this year when I should not have been. 3 grown men argued with the gps as to the direction we were traveling on the river it was so foggy.

Will never do that again.

Have had some great hunts on there you just have to pay attention no matter where you are at.

In thick canopied woods, and in fog, compass trumps gps every time.
