I took my son this morning we heard at least 4, 3 were roosted together but had hens with them. Gobbled pretty good in the tree and some when they hit the ground but we couldn't do anything with them. NE Warren Co.

On Wednesday morning I heard at least two maybe 4. Hunting hogs yesterday evening heard one gobble 3 times on fly up. It was awesome! Can't wait for the season to start!

I took a youth Saturday morning and heard no less than 10. I would not be scared to say more around 12, and it was a stiff breeze blowing as well. But they still weren't "right." They haven't gotten really fired up yet. I know I have more birds this year than I have ever seen, ever. And from what I am told next year is supposed to be unreal. I think the lack of gobbling has to do with so many birds in the area. Everyone is kinda scared to gobble. Except The "illegitimate child". He gobbled 50-75 times Saturday morning. It had to be him. Still in his haunts, burried up in a pine thicket with weeds as tall as a grown man. That, and to say the hens are doing well in numbers is an understatement. I got a couple more little fellas lined up to go this week if the weather cooperates. Maybe a gobbler will run out of women to make love to.

Yep. They gobbled good Saturday morning. Gobbled some on Sunday, but shut up as soon as the hit the ground.
