That's an interesting question. Most players with the basketball knowledge to become college coaches won't play for Stansbury. It's hard to play on a team when you know more about basketball than the coach.bigoak wrote:Are there any former MSU basketball players that are currently college coaches?

Re: Is it time for Stansbury to go?
I think MSU needs a former player on the staff that can get in the players faces and demand respect. Someone who has been there and done that. Not someone who lets players like Sidney run over them. That is one reason I love coach K. He is a good teacher of the game but he also demands respect and discipline. He is not afraid to call a timeout and chew on some rear ends. His staff is also made up of former players who have been in the trenches before.

Well that just blew my theory out of the water. Obviously Grant is not having much of an impact.Greenhead22 wrote:Marcus Grant

I say bring in Erick Dampier or Super D. They'll get some stuff straight.
Re: Is it time for Stansbury to go?
If you research it......I bet you will find that most great college coaches were NOT great players.....that applies to most sports. Why? Well let me tell you........most of your great players are great because of raw talent. It's your mediocre or "bad" players that have to "study the game" to become better players......they are the one's that can teach skill and strategy the best, because they had to study the game 100 times harder.....the mediocre players generally understand the game much much better!........and boy do I understand the game of baseball more than your average bear

Gotta love how Bost walked right past Stans when he left the game.

hell I think we should turn the bid down. No one on that court wants to play. Give that spot to a team who wants to win.jtdumallard wrote:Hello NIT.

What a feckin joke this team turned into, thanks Stans!
Re: Is it time for Stansbury to go?
I just now saw the score...I had no desire to even care because all they do is raise my blood pressure watching them. I just accept them now and don't want to watch or really care. It makes it a lot easier.

CRS seems a little testy with this reporter.

I still say this guy is the cancer of this team.

Watching the second half last night, Georgia was pulling away, Stans was standing there with his arms crossed like he didn't really care and all I could think about was how bad I wished Stricklin would tap him on the shoulder and tell him to hit the showers.
