the cold is coming

Postby no angel » Wed Dec 12, 2001 6:53 pm

just watched the weather and it is showing alot of cold air moving across to us and it ought to be right for the weekend. hell i hope so! i begged for rain and it came so maybe it will get cold enough to freeze up north and send us some ducks for the weekend. the first two weekends deal was kind of good because very few ducks were here and we would have wasted time. we saw alot of ducks today but none were new. same ducks in same places everyday! i hope it stays cold instead of teasing us this go round!

Been watching the site for several days, finally got registered. I saw that you did guided hunts. How much do ya'll charge per day? We hunt around the res and up the pearl river a ways. I would love to get in on a good delta hunt.

That sounds good. My e-mail is madcock1@yahoo.com. I hope we can get together this year. I hunted in the delta a couple of times last year and would love to come back when the ducks get here.

Spoke to yankee friends Swan Lake in MO had around 400-500K big ducks on it last few days. Some spots of Il and MO got 2" of snow last night.
This could be good.

The duck and goose counts in the Swan Lake area of Missouri has been strong.
Other private and public areas show good signs of ducks... however more waterfowl are scattered in and aroung the Iowa, Missouri, Illnois area.

I've heard reports of Iowa but no one I talk to is killing any in Il. My father and his friends hunt Northern to Central, and another group of I know hunt Central to Southern?? Damn things are floating the Il going to hit the Miss float to the Gulf right through GCs spread and make it to S. America w/out a shot fired at them!!

Talked to an outfitter buddy of mine in southern il and nw kentucky. the ducks are sitting on them staged just need cold weather to push em on down. Crab Orchard has nearly 1MILLION ducks sitting on them. Pray for two weeks of freezing weather.
