Where are the ducks????????
Re: Where are the ducks????????
Ah Hell if we get two or three good weeks of duck hunting that will be fine by me. To be quite honest the older I get the more it hurts to hunt 3 or 4 days in a row for long stretches.

I know where some are, or were. They'll be in the septic tank high noon tomorrow.

Oklahoma. Twenty thousand mallard forming a funnel cloud over a sandy peanut field, dropping like rocks from space. Never seen anything like it. Better yet, the limit's 5 greenheads. Otherise, it was a damned good year for work to get in the way of duck hunting, sure didn't miss much.

Re: Where are the ducks????????
Will post a little video footage when get a chance later. Didn't get to hunt for as long as we'd have liked due to hectic calendar, but hunted long enough to see mallards galore and whet an appetite in what's been a pretty lackluster year, as much from working as anything else. Those boys commented they weren't used to having real shooters in, and I told 'em they must not have had any greenhead-hungry Mississippi and Arkansas duck hunters before. They did manage to shoot a few of our left overs. If it sounds like bragging, it ain't - just ask rca1971.

To answer the PMs and emails - YES, it was personal because I've always wanted to hunt central flyway mallards in Oklahoma peanut fields, and YES, we're repping the hunt via GetDucks.com Oklahoma Duck Hunting, http://www.getducks.com/guided-hunts-by-geography/guided-us-hunts/oklahoma-guided-hunts/oklahoma-duck-hunting.aspx.
