Electronic Hearing Protection-Which one to buy

I am wanting to get my dad some electronic hearing protection ear muffs for Christmas. Looking for ones that will diffuse muzzle blast noise but enhance ambient noise like talking. Basically wanting some that will keep the gun blasts to a safe level but that will amplify people's voices. Saw some made by Walker but it didn't have great ratings on Amazon. Does anoyone have any suggestions??
I may go to Heaven, or I may go to hell....But one thing is for certain..It'll be after Duck season!!

If you buy the Walkers muffs, the wind noise will drive you insane.....sounds like a hurricane!!

Google "ear defender" that the sporting clays guys use. Heavy wind and walking in dry leaves will always be "crunchy loud."

I have the walker with the dual mikes,, works great for me, you can hear a gnat fart with those things.
