Man yall are crazy paying that much for health insurance! Most people hardly ever use their health insurance except for Dr. Visits...

I can give you health coverage, supplemental, dental vision, and all kinds of coverage for 60% less than what you are paying now and if something happens, you'll make money...

The way I have my health insurance... i pay $66/month for my health ins with unlimited dr. visits/prescription coverage..... I have a 15,000 Specified Disease Plan, 25,000 accident plan and I get paid $500/day for every day I'm in the hospital!

I pray every day I get sick or have a car wreck! Not to mention I added a short term disability policy that pays me $2500/month for 12 months to rehab or get better if something happens... All this cost me under $100/month!!!

I dont' know how people pay 1,000/month for health coverage... that's obsurd!!!!
Trey,
What kind of deductibles are you carrying?
We have 500 - 10,000 deductibles for all the plans! I personally started out with a 5,000 deductible, then I changed it to 10,000 b/c united healthcare came out with a diminishing deductible and it has reduced to 6,000 now.... United Healthcare has a plan that lets the deductible reduce by 50% over 3 years if you don't meet it....

A low deductible health insurance plan is not necessary unless your company/boss is paying the premium... If you have a low deductible health insurance plan, its like being a member of a high priced deer camp and not ever going to hunt! The average american goes into the hospital once every 22 years, so why pay a lot for something you won't use... Not to mention, you will get rate increases every year, If my rate increases 10% next year it will go from 66 to $72/month , whoop dy do! Supplementals premiums don't increase!

High deductible plans equal low premiums, low increases and exact same coverage as a lower deductible plan, actually better coverage b/c the supplementals will pay your out of pocket expenses, i.e. deductibles and coinsurance!

hope this helps!

Trey who do you work for? Also if my insurance is covered by the company i work for and still had my son covered as a dependent what kind of rates would i look to pay for my wife under a seperate policy that you propose?
I work for a contractor out of Dallas! They handle all my contracts for me, but I write insurance through several different companies... Life, Health, Long Term Care, Long Term Disability, Retirement, Supplemental and Medicare!

No tellin bud, unless i sit with you face to face or on the phone, I can't design your plan or give you an estimated quote... The only real way to get an accurate quote is to do an application and submit it to underwriter, so they can give you the accurate quote! I can give you a ball park quote over the phone but it's not guaranteed! I've had them come back $100 higher but most times I'm pretty close!

The kicker is that these plans are individual plans. If you, your spouse, or child, God forbid come down with some dreaded disease, an individual plan can drop you like a bad habit. Then, no other company is going to pick you up and cover that pre-existing condition. Then, if you do get a job working for a company that offers health insurance, that group plan can exclude that pre-existing condition as well.

That is how I know it at least.

I use Trey for myself and my kid's health insurance and cancer policies. He has some great rates and it is a great company to be insured through.

Insurance companies can't drop ANY policy! They can raise your rates! It's against the law for insurance companies to drop your coverage... Once your approved, your APPROVED!.... The rates can get so high on individuals/group plans that you can't afford it and you have to cancel your policy, but please don't put all that on individual policies... Actually your employer is more likely to drop your group plan at work before an individual policy would increase to a point that you couldn't afford it.... if you have a group plan with 10 employees and one of those employees has a 1,000,000 cancer claim, what you think is gonna happen to that group plan??? You guessed it, it's gonna skyrocket, then what's that employer gonna do????? you guessed it, drop the coverage or make you pay 100% of the premium, which, you won't be able to afford... if you lose your job or employer drops the group plan, then you get offered cobra at 1200/month for 18 months then you can't get individual coverage after cobra runs out if you have medical pre existing conditions!

This is pretty simple guys, if you like paying 800, 900, 1200 a month for health insurance, by all means, keep paying for it... No way in he'll i'll pay that ever!!!!

Maturnity rider is another rip off... If you have group health ins for maturnity, you are really paying a lot of money to the insurance company when you could save that money and deal directly with river oaks in jackson and save you a ton of money... also the maternity rider won't cover any complications of pregnancy! C section or whatever, Your major medical covers all complications!

I was wrong on several accounts and Trey set me straight. Maybe we need to give him a soap box to stand on then he can help folks then advertise on the site.
