my understanding bogus down payments, bogus bank statements, inflating appraisals, fictitious debts listed on settlement statements paid directly back to them...pretty much anything that could be fabricated to fraud an investor or client was done. pretty bad stuff and punished accordingly.

it was everyone's fault. banks,mortgage co., appraisers...etc.. i watched a whole bunch of folks move into house they couldn't afford. seen the paperwork fixed to make mortgage co. want to jump on it !



that Ellis boy was a crook to say the least. he jumped into the remodeling/roofing business and attempted to screw a bunch of folks there as well... me being one of them.. fortunantly i got my money and he got what he deserved also.
