scope suggestion

Postby Sod Man » Tue Nov 08, 2011 2:44 pm

I am in the market to buy a new scope. I am looking at the leupold vx3 3.5x10x50, the vx3L 3.5x10c50 or the zeiss conquest 3.5c10x50 any advice or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated
I might lose a job or a woman, but i will never lose hunting.

I had a Zeiss Conquest, and currently have a pair of Zeiss Binocs. I also have a Leupold VX3 and a Nikon Monarch... The Nikon glass consistently empresses me on its light gathering ability.. My Nikon is brighter at dusk than both the Zeiss and Leupold.. If I was going for a high end hunting optic especially one with a BDC redicule I would go with Nikon.. There glass is great and thier new Spot On Program is awesome.

Unless something has changed, the reticle in the European optics get larger with magnification. I do not like this feature at longer ranges. Leupold or Nikon for me. VXL 6.5 x 20 x 56

Zeiss conquest. I had a Nikon monarch, like the zeiss much better. Have a leupold vx3l and the conquest gathers more light than it.
