What is the deal that I am hearing that they are doing away with their unlimited plans? Is there any truth to that and if so, who will it affect?(only Iphone users or everyone)

there unlimited everything including data streaming plan for 79.99 is no longer available i'm pretty sure. you can still get unlimited everything but unlimited data (certain limit to it). you can pay extra for a certain amount or like 30 bucks for unlimited. this plan is like 70 dollars i think...

AT&T did away with theirs as well. Obviously if you already have it.......you get to keep it. I went to get my daughter a phone and my wife and I have unlimited data and such on our Iphones, but you have to choose between three tiers now based on how many kb of data you want to use. Everything dealing with a phone ought to be unlimited across the board........just like internet, i can't imagine paying based on how much I download.

Well good, their 4g network must actually work and now they gotta charge for it. Their 3g is useless on my phone.

the Iphone through Cspire is 3G only from what i understand.

from what i have been told is the 4s has the hardware to be 4g capiable. Just have to get apple to release the upgrade which will probably be when the 5 comes out.

If you have the 80/40 plan now, you'll still be able to have it with the iphone.

Hope this is true. Been trying to find a definitive statement from CSpire regarding this. My Galaxy screen is shattered and I thought about trying out the iPhone but didn't want my plan to change. I was hoping they would do like AT&T when they got rid of the unlimited data plan. They grandfathered people in and only charged the extra fee to new customers. If CSpire doesn't do that I see a lot of people jumping ship, paying $20/month more and having a much better selection of phones on another carrier.

I called today and spoke with a rep. in sales. I currently have a plan that is around $50 and includes unlimited internet, text, mobile to mobile, and 500 minutes. I was told that I could keep this plan/price and that nothing would change with the iphone 4s.

The next model Ipad may have that functionality. I do not think the current ones support CDMA.

verizon is cdma, att is not. we're testing a couple of ipads and went with verizon b/c of the cdma compatability, at the advice of an "apple" guy in IT. all of our cellular is with cspire, so once they get the iphone/ipad supported, we can use the 2 ipads on their network (if they prove to be a viable for our use)..

but you will have to pay full price for the phones when you upgrade instead of signing a new contract and getting the 2 year price (per my understanding with talking with some yahoo at C-spire).
