shipyards are generally good. i used to get the export ale at the local good beer store, but not enough people bought it and i couldn't buy enough, so they quit stocking it... ipa is really good.

Re: Favorite Beer
Had my first Rogue Dead Guy Ale and really enjoyed it. Also in that pick six was Shiner Oktoberfest, Sam Adams Cream Stout, Sam Adams Black Lager, Sam Adams Boston Lager and Shiner Black Lager.

Re: Favorite Beer
the thing about rogues offerings is their consistency (or lack thereof). for whatever reason, bottle to bottle, dead guy and other rogue brews taste different...some i like, some i haven't

That Abita Jackimo is really good. I picked up a sixer of the Restoration Ale the other day and plan to enjoy a few this evening.
Y'all have a nice weekend.

Re: Favorite Beer
revisited saranac ipa, again, to see if my tastes have changed since I had it a few years ago...they have not...still lackluster.
a few others I got are
- southern tier 2x ipa...good, but doesn't have the depth as other doubles I've had. seemed more like a regular old american ipa.
- smuttynose ipa...very good (from new hampshire)
- couple of standards...sn torpedo ipa and titan ipa
- stone ruination ipa...outstanding!

I'm not sure it's distributed up there. I see a lot of people on the RYP facebook group complaining because the Yazoo trucks drive from Nashville to Jackson and don't sell in NE MS. I can get Yazoo in Rolling Fork of all places. Well all of their beers that are legal in MS.donia wrote:..gonna have to track down some hop project...haven't seen yazoo beer around the 'patch, yet. i haven't found too many good hoppy offerings in ms abc/abv limited brews, thanks for the tip!

I just saw where Lazy Magnolia is about to start bottling the Jefferson Stout. I'm very excited about this. They just launched a new beer for the Beau Rivage called "Biloxi Blonde". They may have a sampler pack out this spring as well.
