Prayer Request

Asking for some prayers from the group. As many of you know, just over 3 years ago we were blessed with a little boy named Owen. We already had one blessing Hayden, born 6 years ago. Well with both of these pregnancies my wife had major life threating complications, so we made the decision that when Owen was born that we would have my wife's tubes tied. Shortly after Owen was born we discovered that he had a fatal chromosone disorder and he was only with us 5 days. Since that time we have tried every means of having another child. We had my wifes tubes untied, and had 3 subsequent miscarriages. This past summer we tried invetro and the initial results were very promising, but that also failed. We have been on an adoption list since the middle of last year but have not heard anything since. Welll, about a month ago we got an email from a friend about an adoption attorney in AL that was looking for couples. We went over there Friday and met with her, and she said she had a lady that was due in December and that was looking for a couple like us. So we met with that day, and we found out yesterday that she wants to place the child with us. While this is exciting, we have some concerns. First the lady is an older mother to be of 40, so there is a higher risk of problems with the baby and in delivery. The mother is also deaf from a illness when she was 10. She can talk and read lips and we have been communicating with her via email. We are in the process of obtaining the medical records of the mother and baby, gettting all the paperwork lined up and also trying to get financing for the whole process,which is going to be rough since we are still stretched from the invetro process. If all this comes through we will be blessed with a little girl come Christmas, but there are still a lot of hurdles to cross. We are working with the attorney and have an OBGYN here lined up and we are being very cautions, but my wife wants a baby so much, and if we have another let down, I just don't know how she is going to take it. Please say a few prayers that this time things will work out for us.

Chad, it sounds to me like some prayers are already being answered! A blessing like that doesn't just fall in your lap by chance! God will see this through, I'm sure! Please keep us updated through the process so we can soak each and every aspect in prayer!
