I hunt on the river as well and we have plenty of deer but are not seeing much movement at all. Last year we saw 5-15 every hunt during October this year 1-3 on a good hunt. I hope this movement pattern is different in Nebraska I leave on Wednesday!

I know this moon has been sucking, and the heat, but I promise this is the worst start to a bow season that I have ever had. I'm talking about not seeing any deer whatsoever. Anybody else having this same thing happen. I've hunted morning, noon, and night...on my places, friends places, and all over and I'm just not seeing any deer at all. Maybe with this moon going down, it will start getting better. It also seems that this moon has been full longer than it normally is for some reason.

VERY HOT SUMMER. Took it out of em. Cooler weather wiil revive them. If I lived outside all year in Mississippi, I would only ramble around at midnight until November 1. Then I would start hanging around a little more in the daylight. So dern hot, especially this year. I've seen quite a few deer however, just not as many thus far. Been 3 times only thus far. Missed a fat nanny Saturday at 10 yards! Not proud but I will proudly blame the dern the bush that thrwarted my rage tipped arrow.

+1 on everything everybody has said so far. I just got back from Missouri and it was hard huntin up there too. Way too much corn still in the field alond with full moon and heat just didn't produce many sightings.

TODO, we currently aren't shooting any mgt bucks until we can get a look at our survey thinking we might have some deer get mistaken for mgt bucks that are just stress related.
