Back from WY

Just got back from Wyoming. Had a great time and my dad had a successful hunt.

The area that we went to is know for having tons of trophy elk so I promised him I wouldn't let him shoot on the first day. When we got out there the rancher whose land we hunted on said he had seen very few elk and no good bulls. On the second hunt of the first day, I spotted three nice six by six bulls and due to what the rancher told us, had to break my promise and made my dad shoot. He dropped the biggest one where is was standing at about 400 yds. It wasn't quite the trophy he hoped for but is a really nice bull, regardless. I guess that it will gross 285-290. Probably will net around 270pts.

We had a great time, though, and saw lots of other wild life. Saw so many whitetails that I don't want to see another one for a little while!

That's great LS, I used to guide hunts in wy. about 3 yrs. ago, Mule deer and Antelope though mainly in the plains area and near south dakota.

glad to hear you had a big time and Success to boot.... you didn't miss alot of duck action in our neighborhood.. mostly woodies... glad ya'll had a safe trip...

Hey Matt.....post some pics. Glad you had a great time. I v taken two elk with bow but both were cows. Still a great thrill..almost wasnt able to draw my bow on the first one (and thats after about 15 deer with a bow). No duck hunting in Wyoming? Two of my friends go out each year and have great hunts. Next time do a combo elk/duck. BTW how is Chris doing? Robbie
