Well, after a lot of struggling, praying, doubt, and more praying, I finally landed my dream job. It's on a temp-to-perm basis right now but I have faith that this will work out. Been trying for 4 years to get on and it has finally come to fruition. Thanks to everyone on here for the prayers, support, leads, and encouragement. Y'all are the best! Here's a little taste of what I'll be doing:

Didn't realize it until talking with my Dad the other day that almost his entire side of the family were steelworkers. Guess it's just a natural progression...
God is good all of the time!!!

Re: New job!
Glad to hear that. I know your stress levels just dropped significantly.
Re: New job!
Thanks fellas. Like I said, it's temp to perm right now but I will take it as I have been trying to get my foot in the door since 2007, I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure they keep me. donia & bsw, I'm going to be here in Jackson at the Nucor Bar Mill but I applied and tried to get on at SeverStal as well. In fact, my parents live out by the mill and several guys in their neighborhood work at SS but this is where the wife and kids are so I'm glad I get to stay at home. Red, all I can tell you is to keep the faith, brother. I humbled myself as much as I thought any man could, almost lost my marriage, and lost myself until I found God. Without Him and prayer, none of this would be possible. Be strong, keep the faith, talk to God, and give it all up to Him...
