If you get the Clarion-Ledger, it is printed on the inside of the first page. That's where I get my sunrise/sunset info....

If you would rather not read the Ledger go to
Mississippi Solar Table

Pick your town and you get a month's worth of times.

I use my GPS for that. It's exact for your location.

Swampland, that is the exact reason for my asking. I was talking a a warden and he mentioned citing a few people for shooting before legal hours.

I guess this will show my ignorance but we also got into a debate regarding wether or not sunset or thirty minutes after was legal time for migratory birds. Needless to say, sunset is the correct time.

I would like to know what the game warden goes by also. Sunset is usually my concern. My watch may be five minutes different from his watch. I have also been told that they depend more on if the sun has actually set below the horizon. I would like a good clear definition on this if someone knows.

you can go to duckcentral.com go down left hand side of the screen to sunrise/sunset. It wll give exact time for where u are planning to hunt. Consevation officer told me a couple of years back that the Jackson time was 4 minutes ahead of us up here in the Amory area.......When it gets close to time I usally let some one else fire the first shot. just to be on the safe side....... Goof Luck this year

Real hunters should only care about what the sunrise time is gonna be, I wouldn't evn think about screwing up any hole I ever had shooting ducks so long I had to worry about sunset shooting hours!
