Week one update...noted above.

A few notes....

It was invevitable that there would be some from the OM fallout. What a horrible way to get one. Almost feel sorry for you rebs.

Auburn was on the cusp of having a large list of them. In fact, I heard one boog proclaim "Utah State almost beat Oklahoma last year" but since they pulled another God Family Miracle out of their booty, you can't really give them a MV with an actual victory. Although it is possible in some cases.

MSU fans seem awfully confident about their trip to AU this weekend. That can result in numerous moral victories if the cards don't fall as they should come saturday.

There is not enought UGA fans on here to really notice any MV talk out of them. However, I think there won't be any from this year because Richt is likely done. They may be able to get a few in there later in the season when he is a dead man walking.

1) these young players held their own for a couple quarters against that great and powerful MSU offense
Dear MV chairman,
Mark this gump down for whatever the opposite of a moral victory is. In fact, mark him down for 2.

Another week in the books and we have a new leader. I warned you dogs last week that too much confidence would result in numerous MV's. You didn't listen.

If there was ever a time to turn the corner, it was against a very mediocre Aubrun team on the road. I just didnt feel the hate enough. You guys prop up your coach so much, i am just not sure he is as good as he's made out to be. Maybe Cam Newton really didn't see that much in him a year and a half ago and thats why he switched at the last minute.

Other than that game, it was a pretty lame football weekend. I really wish we had some Notre Dame fans around here though.

After looking through many posts from MSU fans last friday, it was hard to find many MVs. I give credit to the fanbase for accepting reality, sot thats why I didnt see many. So, instead of trying to qualify a few quotes like "we will get better" from some of you, my job got easy when Mullen was able to provide us with a classic MV quote. This jewel would also win the "circle the wagons" award as well.

As for Ole Miss, I can't seem to find one from any true Ole Miss fans. I hope for their own dignity (or whats left of it) that no one would even dare try to find something positive out of a loss to Vandy. I would imagine there are a few fans out there throwing out the "that will be the end of Nutt, so now we can move on and start a new era." But let me remind you that a Nutt firing would be a moral victory for Arkansas fans.

As for Aubrun, I still have my feelers out. So far, the Family is wanting to throw their defensive coordinator under the bus. But I am waiting on some good quotes. I can't believe the fine Christian men in the all in family would dislplay so much venom towards one of their own.

Now accepting any nominations for Ole Miss or Aubrun....

I'm waiting on the official Jay Jacobs letter from last week. And no, its not the first letter he wrote giving them their first MV of the season. This one really breaks down the excuses and throws the entire program under the bus. So, I went ahead and gave Auburn one....jury is still out...this letter is so pathetic that the boogs can get a bonus.

It appears that the State fans have accepted their team was overrated, so I havent really seen too many lately. The only thing worse than going to OT with La Tech is losing to them. Trust me....it can be done.

Ole Miss? Has everyone just gone into hibernation knowing that this season is a complete loss? PML has done everything in his power to show the slightest bit of hope. Anything *productive* out of the UGA loss?

Anyone heard from big dumpface? Must still be working on his list. Considering no one really cares to listen or read about their delusional fanbase, he is our only hope.

Anything *productive* out of the UGA loss?
Not really, other than perhaps Mark Richt getting to keep his job (good man, good coach, IMO). Several freshman for Ole Miss got significant meaningful PT against UGA ( likely out of necessity) and made some nice plays from time to time. And our punter continued to make his case for AA status ---- he is on track unless his leg gives out before the end of the season from too many punts. That is about it.

Nothing really productive about the close win over Fresno either, other than Mackey emerging as the next victim....er starting QB in Ole Miss' game of QB musical chairs. And I suppose that any win on the road by a young team should be cherished. But, after the terrible start to the season, I think most Ole Miss fans were looking for something more to inspire confidence and hope. It didn't happen.

This coming Saturday's contest between the Tide and Ole Miss could provide several nominations for moral victories. In fact, it could turn out to be a treasure trove of moral victories if the game is remotely close.

If your team wins the Cup at the end of the season, then you get an automatic bowl appearance in The Moral Victory Bowl Game. It's played on paper around mid- December with large amounts of alcohol being consumed.

I'm afraid that Ole Miss can't get a MV based on their televsion appearances because of the extremely low ratings.

I'm giving 2 moral victories to Arkansas. I was holding these out because I figured Big_dumpface would provide us with many, but apparently he has taken the persona of his beloved coach and is now a scared puppy. The first was something I heard the other day from an Arkansas fan who proclaimed "If LSU beats Alabama, and we beat LSU, we (Bacon) will win the West because we would have higher BCS ranking at the end of the year." I also heard one at the game a few weeks ago. As one pigface walked back to his car, I asked if their panty wearing coach would ever beat Alabama? He replied: "How was that Capital One bowl last year?"

Florida also on the board. “I felt we was better than them,” Flroida RB Chris Rainey said after the LSU and Bama losses.

Been a little slow around here with the MS teams sucking. But here is one from a few weeks ago:

"They played real hard," Nutt said. "They played harder than that 49-10, right, Neal? One on my players told me. I don't read your stuff; they tell me what you say. One of my freshmen told me that Neal McCready wrote that we were going to get beat 49-10. It wasn't no 49-10."

Gene Chizik proclaims that Aubrun has the toughest schedule in the nation. Regardless if that is "true" or not (based on what time of year and what projections) a head coach should never say that...unless they are feeding the sheep.

Bama is awarded .5 moral victory points. If you play with mister bro long enough, you're going to get mister bro err, burned.

We will see if Bama can cope and keep it below 1 point. I highly recommend the Bama faithful refrain from using the word "kicker". Destiny is in your hands.

It is only fair this happens. Now, lay down bama fans and take your teabagging.

False. School affiliation does not apply to sidewalk alumni. Mister bro does not even live in or around Oxford. I will not renigg my points and you will certainly not do it for me.

Save face and uphold your dignity, take the damn point.
