Get ducks -New England hunt

Postby atovol » Fri Sep 09, 2011 8:57 pm

Got our Jan sea duck hunt booked through Ramsey. My Dad and I are going and were curious what recommendations you guys had for things to see and places to eat for dinner. Were hunting three days and staying a couple extra to see the area. We can't wait.

if you would like to meet new and interesting people while in boston, wear a yankees cap, and walk about the streets repeating "the red sox play like little girls."
it should take about three minutes for you to meet all the folks you would care to. :)

Regina Pizza in the North end, order the St. Anthony's you can thank me later. Good food at the Summer Shak in Back bay also. Bulk up with plenty of Guinness also, should be kinda chilly around that time of the year. Also try the Sam Adams Red Brick Ale, only sell it in Boston and on tap. Go to the Garden, you may be able to catch a game, u can also do a tour of Fenway grab a beer at the Cask and Flagon and then walk around the corner and grab another one at the Baseball Tavern. Mcgreevy's on Boylston, lots of stuff to do, fun city.

Go to the outdoor market. Bout got into a fight with a bumb in the Little Italy part of town near the market while eating lunch one time. Pushing around the old man owner of the place, who turned out to be a heck of a nice old fart..I honestly cant stand them blue blood yankees up there, but, thats just me I reckon. Sea hunt should be fun...take a jacket and BB's 8) 8) 8)

Not sure if its your kind of thing, but there is a really nice aquarium up there at the wharf. Went to it when I spent a few days up there with my grandparents and was really impressed. You could spend all day in there and not see everything.

For a really good sampling of all different kinds of foods, go to Faneuil Hall in downtown near the fleet Center where the Celtics and Bruins play. It is kind of an open air type place but inside at the same time.
Be sure to get some lobster. No matter where you have eaten lobster before, in Maine it is the best in the world.
Have fun

You'll enjoy it. I went with a group last December on a sea duck hunt there. It's neat shooting ducks in Boston Harbor looking at the city of Boston.
