Mojo FREAKIN Mallard

Postby fieldt76 » Thu Sep 01, 2011 7:57 am

Has anyone ever had one of these that has been reliable throughout the entire season??? Because I have definately not. I have replaced the battery, charger and checked all of the so-called waterproof wiring. The damn thing just won't work. Anybody got any tricks to get this thing spinning. I think I'm going back to my jerk string and stomping water.

I have one mallard I have been using for 4 years replaced battery once. The teal require a little more maintnance because of the connection to the little battery pack. The saltwater does a number on them down here. I do spray all the guts down with wd-40 after every second or third hunt or anytime they get excessively wet. If your motor seems to be locked up we have soaked them with wd-40 turned them on, then help them get started by spinning with your finger and they come back to life. Good luck.

I've had one "in the mail" for 2 months now. Let you know when and if I finally get it and use it.

I had one a few years back. The switch went out so I emailed them about it. Went about 3 days without hearing from them went to the mailbox and there was a new switch.

Only problems I've ever had with mojos is the one we had with the button under the butt kept popping out and was a bugger to turn on and off sometimes. Also lost some wings on another one. But I've never had one crap out. In fact, I took apart my original RoboDuck (the first one that came out with the rubber belts) and swapped out the motor, and rigged up a mojo motor from a mojo that got run over. That thing is still rolling strong after 6 seasons. Ofcourse none of mine have ever taken a swim, knock on wood. I'd imagine they wouldn't like too much.

Alot of people dont know this. Im a dealer for mojo and will let you in on something.
No matter how old your mojo is from what I was told by them

"Mojo will repair any MOJO duck decoy returned with either a reusable motor or decoy body for a charge not to exceed $30.00, plus return shipping. The charge for remote models is $50.00"

They will repair or replace your mojo for $30.00 basically plus shipping back to you.
May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
Cheers, Georgie.
