I have three ..... a 25, 45 and 65.

The 45 by far keeps ice better than the other two. It's not going to be a miracle worker in these temps. In the summer, it's all about keeping it in the shade if possible and using the right kind of ice. You put a bag of ice in a smoking hot cooler, it's going to be gone quick because the ice must cool the inside and outside. Buying hot beer will also make it worse.
One bag of ice in the winter will last upwards of a week, and I'm not talking about in freezing weather.

I use the 25 more because it's got that handle bar and because it will fit on the floorboard with no worries about it getting taken out of the bed of the truck.

Hell with the ice and keeping stuff cold, its the ability to hide from a grizzly in one that's had me sold.

If you're going to be on a 5 day expedition in the mountains and not have access to electricity or more ice........then I might can see it. For the rest of those who have one to use for a single day on the lake or to keep beer cold for the evening or to just be seen with it.......I rank them with those that sport big Salt Life and Costa stickers on their back glass.

Icey Tek was bought by YETI several years ago. I know the distributor and can get a better price.
None of them will hold ice if you are continually opening the cooler in 95 degrees.

Hot Ice!!!!!!!!!

There is such a thing.

When fishing down in LA if you buy the bags of ice they will not last worth a chit, however you buy the bulk ice the commercial guys are loading their boats with it will last 2-3 times as long. That is no joke!

we have a big joke about buying hot ice when were are down there.

What's funny is folks will go buy 500$ Stihl chainsaws to cut limbs around the yard. They'll buy a 50,000$ F250 to haul nothing heavier than an aluminum bass boat. We buy 300$ waders that last 2 years, just like the 100$ pair.

Yet, what is the one thing we rednecks do? We overpay cause it's "quality". Small homeowner saw? Ta hell with that I want the BEST.

Same thing with a yeti. I make a one time purchase and as long as it is locked down in my truck I'll never have to worry about buying another cooler in my life. Expensive? Yeah. I throw stickers on it and after a couple of years that thing has battle scars on it. It becomes an old friend, just like anything of quality does.

Yall keep buyin' the cheap chitty coolers. Me, I'm done buying coolers hopefully for the rest of my life.

Simple as that, the damn things are tuff. Ice be damned- they're tuff.

Me too..

What a lot of folks don't realize is that you can't get as much ice in a Yeti as you can with a similar sized igloo, because the Yeti has so much insulation in it.. So lots of folks that would 2 bags of ice in an igloo with thier beer can only get about a bag in the Yeti, so it melts just as fast.. Get you the size bigger than what you need and put in the same amount of ice as an igloo and it will last longer.. Its just physics. 2" of insulation in a Yet comapred to 1/2" in the igloo is going to keep cool longer.

With that being said.. They are EXPENSIVE as just everyday coolers.. But they are alot stronger than the igloos..

I don't give a damn about a cooler that can hold ice for 5 days. It's kind of stupid since they haven't made a cooler yet that will hold 5 days worth of beer!!!! And what happens if you put some yeti in your yeti? That's the kinda cool I want to be....

I see more huge "Salt Life" and "Costa" stickers in Alabama than any other state I've ever been in. Ever. Hands down.

That says a lot coming from someone who evidently frequents Madison AND Oxford.
