for all u tick lovers!!!
Another place for dove hunting just as good as Argentina in Boliva, S.A. I was there for 5 days in 1999, and we killed over 4,000 doves. Brought back 4 ice chests FULL to the top w/ doves. No problem w/ customs either. We shot CONSTANTLY from 8 am until our shoulders were too sore to shoot anymore. 1 guy in our group killed 275 doves before lunch!! Although I was mostly filming for a TV show, I killed several while holding the camera on my right shoulder and the gun on my left (I'm left-handed...), and even killed some while I was taking a piss...no bull. There were that many doves flying, everyday. Flocks of 20, 30, 40 at a time. Sunflower fields as far as you could see. Little S.A. bird boys did all the work. Retrieved birds, drinks, even brought us new guns when ours overheated or just quit from all the shooting. Hella-time. Everyone should experience that just once! Can't wait to go back....

those are some really good looking decoys on the vodoo poles. i bet they'll put'em right in your face... i would very much like to hunt the panhandle region of texas. you know when you think about that area and then the area south of houston ,,, texas has some really good hunting. maybe better than the overrated state of ark...
how big are those playa lakes. it seems to me that the ducks would be be leary of landing around the edges of the lake and instead prefer to hit out around the middle of the lake. but i guess when you put out 500 silos and the voodo poles you cant go wrong...
later bigw

Those playa lakes were scraped out by glaciers and range in size from 1/2 acre to several 100. No matter the size, it's arre that they ever get very deep. Best pintail opportunities I've ever seen and suprisingly alot of greenheads, too, unlike the Katy Prairie. We try to make the trip every year, holler if y'all ever want to throw in on one, it's a good weekend event.

Northern Pintail
versus
Yellowbilled Pintail. They decoy better, but ours look best.

Is that a tree duck on the end of the teal pic?
Yes. White-faced tree duck. Very high flyers that usually do not decoy. Very tall pass shots usually.
