Cover up sprays
Cover up sprays
Just curious what cover-up sprays you guys use before hunts? Are some better than others? thanks in advance
Re: Cover up sprays
I make my own each year. The formula is widely available on the net. I also carry a sock filled with baking soda and will dust myself occasionally.

Re: Cover up sprays
this is gonna make people laugh but the best cover spray i have used is the com mere spray. i have had deer come running from the down wind side and run right up to my stand
I might lose a job or a woman, but i will never lose hunting.

Re: Cover up sprays
make a fire before you head in and stand in the smoke. best thing you can do.

Scent away earth scent works great for me.

Re: Cover up sprays
i usually just spray the bottom of my boots with racoon pee. and use scent away. but i'm gonna switch to using baking soda in a sock. that's genius, this and coon pee should keep me in the good!

for exmaple you could kill a 4 greenheads (two banded), a mallard/black cross, and a mallard/gaddy cross and smash a hot blonde on the way back to the ramp and call it a hell of a day
Re: Cover up sprays
I use scent away and never have much problem. You can read on AT for an hour about using smoke, some of those fools even buy a "smoker" to use as a cover scent. I guess it works.

My head hurts too much "pre-hunt" for me to wake my booty up, get out of bed, go light a smoker(well that kind anyway) and stand and get the grill hot and smoke myself out.....FTS....spray a little HS scent away and go...grab a dip and it will cover you up.
Re: Cover up sprays
Thanks guys. might have to try the baking soda deal. What I have always done and seems to work well is buy the h.s. scent fresh earth wafers. Then I put them in the bag i carry all of my hunting clothes in and man they definitely come out smelling like dirt. simple and cheap

ryan, the coon piss on the bottom of the works great with all the coons we have. You'll always see a bottle on my atv.
Why is my mouth so dry this morning, when I drank so much last night?
