Re: Co-op grip spurs
they no longer make these or the original Bucksot Wide Mudder. Its a damn shame too cause you couldnt beat either of these in the mud! These tires bring back memories of my childhood!
Re: Co-op grip spurs
I think they still make the original Gateway Buckshot Mudder. I ran them on my 1/2 ton during hunting season. Call Davis Tire & Auto. I used to get them from the Clinton store. Same tread as the co-op but it's a radial.

Re: Co-op grip spurs
Dunlap and Kyle company owns the pattern for those tires. The company that manufactured them for Dunlap went out of business. Dunlap has been looking for a new manufacturer and I was told recently has found one. They are making some right now and they have to go through all the testing and such. I was told they were only going to run a couple of batches the first year if they pass the test and then add other sizes the following year. If I remember correctly they said P's in 15 and 16 and Q's in 16 the first round.
I know where a brand new set of 15's are right now. Haven't ran into anyone that needed 15's though.

I do... I run 15's on my Blazer. Are you talking about the old ones or the new ones? What size? P or Q?

Not sure got a friend that is looking for some. They will be going on a 67 bronco. I am guessing he will want Q's. What is the difference between old ones and new ones.southernvaughan wrote:I do... I run 15's on my Blazer. Are you talking about the old ones or the new ones? What size? P or Q?

Re: Co-op grip spurs
I had a set a Grip Spurs on my '93 Chevy and in less than 5000 miles, I had 2 tires begin to come apart going down the road. They were throwing off whole lugs at a time and they split between the zig zag tread. They were bada$$ in the mud for sure, but I wouldn't own another set even if they were still making them.
