I saw that same dog when we came back in, but he looked sleepy when I walked by! The dog looked like he was high or something. I figured someone could have driven a truck of cocaine by him and he'd never know. I was disappointed with customs b/c no one checked anything on us...not even our passport! No offense, but it makes me feel a little bit better that at least that dog had a sniffer. Still pisses me off that they didn't check anyone though.

I wanted to bring back some Cubans, but they said they'd search your bags and wouldn't let you bring them back. No one searched anything. Should've gotten me some. Those cigars are pretty darn good. I think the main thing that makes them so good is mental. We can't have them, so in our heads, it makes them more desirable and better.

Hell yea, thats the funniest thing I think I could have read this mourning. To smoke is one thing but to get caught and saying you don't smoke, you qualify for rock 103's dumb booty of the day. And if anyone knows how to cantact them they should.

I don't care if it's right/wrong whatever. You can rationalize all day long and try to make it okay. Every pothead I know does the same thing and even in my younger and dumber days I did the same, but it's illegal, therefore, don't mess with it.

If Cool Ranch Doritos were illegal in this country, I'd feel the same. It'd be dumb as hell to eat them due to the consequences.

As for trying to rationalize the morale of smoking pot. Pot by itself may not be as bad as some of the other things people can put into their bodies, but it is a "gateway" drug. The way I see it, it's worse for you than cigarettes. We have enough health issues from those, the last thing we need to do is to legalize another health nightmare.

Maybe I do. Maybe I used to be a little pothead like yourself and smarted up. I was young and stupid once. Yeah, I thought I was "smarter" than everyone else and "more enlightened" as well. We used to sit around and talk about "deep" stuff all the time and talk about how alcohol was more dangerous, etc.

Studies have shown that if affects short term memory, concentration, lungs, and brain cells. It's also hazardous to use while operating equipment, like vehicles. I know many a pothead who think they can't get a DUI from being high, but they can.

It is the gateway drug. Every kid I grew up with that was a "druggie" started out on that stuff. Some you never would've expected it of them, they were the nicest, best mannered kids you ever met. They wouldn't even hardly cuss, but after they smoked pot, it was like they had crossed that "drug" barrier and they were putting all kinds of crap into their bodies. The way I look at it....we have enough drug problems as it is. The illegal factor scares a lot of people away from messing with it. You legalize it and that'll just make it even worse.

As for the long term side effects: how about lung cancer for one! One joint is about the equivalent of 40 something cigarettes on your lungs....maybe more. There ain't no filter and you don't take small drags. That stuff is H-A-R-M-F-U-L!!!!! Another long term effect....how about messing up families and jobs? How about changing kids so they can't concentrate in school and don't care and end up doing nothing other than smoking pot. Tell me that's not a long term effect. THC also kills braincells. Some people may be too stupid beforehand to ever realize they've lost any though.....

Ok, let me re-phrase the question.......is it true that pot smokers are more likey to move to other illegal drugs that are more addicting, have greater risk, and more serious consequences?

There have been numerous studies conducted that prove this point. But you won't or don't believe them because its all made up by the goody-goody Baptist led propaganda machines. The best way to keep kids and even adults off drugs is to never get them started. If you want to include cigs and beer then so be it. But for you to preach aganist that and then smuggle pot into the country is hypocritical.
