Bowhunting with strutting decoy

Postby deredwine » Mon Apr 18, 2011 1:18 pm

I am considering trying my strutting decoy in the morning. I will be bowhunting and I have never used my B Mobile since I bought it three seasons ago. I hate using decoys but I am tempted to try it in the morning. I know that it has a fifty fifty chance of working. Need some feedback from someone who has tried this.

had some come roaring in, and other never pay it a bit of attention, then other run like heck when they see it. 75 % it don't hurt, 25% it ruins HUNT.

set a hen decoy on ground a few feet in front of b-moble, that works best for me

They either work like a charm or they pay no attention to them when I've used them in Texas when we bow hunt for them in the mornings. Too bulky for me to use around here since I usually walk at least a couple miles each time. If you've got a spot picked out where you see birds often, then I'd say definately use it. But as mentioned, use a hen decoy too.
