there were no ducks this morning so we left and started shooting skeet - my new 391 would not not completely kick the shells out after a few rounds - does it have to oiled frequently - anybody have any ideas? i was shooting federals 3 1/4 dram, 8 shot - maybe its the newness of the gun?

If the gun is brand new you may need to give it a good WD40 bath. Factory grease is extremely gummy, and will accumulate residue from spent ammo causing malfunctions. Try spraying the gun down with WD40 or similar type solvent, then wipe gun down completely. After that lubricate gun in functional places, and try shooting again.

Same problem for me...operator error. I didn't take it completely down and clean it when I got it. I just wd40'd it and that didn't cupt he thick packing grease. I've shot probably 1500 rounds of ammo since..lots of light loads...not one problem since. And, I don't clean it any better than I did my old Remington.
